Grandma Mae's is what we are currently feeding out pups! We have used them since Stella was 8 weeks of age. If you know anything about Huskies they can become very picky- so we usually use two brands and blend them together. I love that Grandma Mae's is owned by independent pet retailers & that they make small batches of food.
Grandma Mae's has no by-products, fillers, or artificial colors, preservatives, no corn, wheat, soy, dairy, growth hormones, or antibiotics.
All US ingredients, with lamb from New Zealand, fish from Norway & buffalo from Nepal where the highest quality is located. A few vitamins from Europe, absolutely nothing from China.
We love the Orijen brand! Stella has a very sensitive stomach that is was the only food she could tolerate while pregnant. Once we started working with Orijen I noticed they are an outstanding company. This food is grain-free! Our vet has agreed that this is a great food for our Mom's and Babies.
Farmina is one of those brands that you will buy and just love. This food is made in Italy and it human grade. The standards in Italy are much higher, the only preservative they use is fish oil.
Denali does really well with a mix of Orijen and Farmina during pregnancy & nursing.
We send home each puppy a sample bag of N&D Prime. Farmina and reading materials. When you take your puppy this company will provide you with nutritional support.
I absolutely love the smell of there Lamb and Blueberry N&D Pumpkin food, the pumpkin also benefits their belly's.
Zignature Zssentials is a favorite of mine for Stella. This is an all life stages food, but we recommend switching to Zignature after a year of age.
Yes, this is a grain-free company but it has been a life saver for us. When we switched Stella to a grain food, we almost lost her.
We do send home a sample of Zignature with each puppy as well, because we love their Ziggy Bars and Food. You could use the sample bag as training treats!!
